The Bachelor of technology in mechanical engineering is a core branch in the field of engineering and technology. This course covers many areas of science and engineering. The course includes design engineering, thermal engineering, manufacturing technology and management aspects. The Syllabus makes students to become strong in fundamentals as well as advanced technologies in mechanical engineering. He/she will become highly thinkable and dynamic leader which will be basic requirement for the today’s competitive world.
Mechanical Engineering focuses basic infrastructure, Energy sector and transportation field. Today the country like India is having a lot of issues in infrastructure, poverty, rural development, power sector and oil & gas. Hence, it is necessary to focus on energy production infrastructure development by doing research on solar energy, bio-fuels and making products environmental friendly like hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles etc.

Duration: 4 Years
Eligibility: Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together

After the completion of the program, the student will have opportunities to work in the field of aerospace, automobile, energy sector, oil sector, and related research areas. The student having strong knowledge in fundamentals can get an opportunity to serve in top-level organisations like GE, General Motors, BOSCH, SAMSUNG etc., and government institutions like DRDO, ISRO, GTRE, HAL ,NAL, BARC, BHEL etc., Bangalore is a hub for manufacturing in the field of automobile, aerospace and many other products.
